Hilbun JDDVed that Mr. Whitworth'sassessment OIl tanks be reducted to $4,000.00 and the assessment on the _rchandis. remainat $4,000.00, making a total assessment <strong>of</strong> $8,000.00 instead <strong>of</strong> $lO,ooo.OO. This motionwas seconded by Alderman H. S. Sisk, passed lmanimOUSly and it is so ordered.* * * * * *Came on for consideration the matter <strong>of</strong> a one weeks vacation for all policemen, andafter a discussion <strong>of</strong> the matter, Alderman Ben J. Hilbun moved that all members orthe Police Department be given a one weeks vacation. Alderman further moved thatHr. King, the <strong>City</strong> Marshal, be authorized to employ a special policeman to work duringthe vacation period. This motion vas seconded by Alderman :B. O. Elliott, passedunanimously and it is so ordered.* * * * * *Came on for consideration the matter <strong>of</strong> repairing the water aerator and after a :f'u1ldiscussion <strong>of</strong> the matter, Alderman Ben J. HUbtm moved that since the repairing <strong>of</strong>said aerator is an emergency that Mr. Harrison be authorized to buy necessar,r materialfor said repairs. This motion was seconded by Alderman Robert W. Hickey, passed\lnanimous~ and it is so ordered.* * * * * * *Came on for consideration the matter <strong>of</strong> installing water meters outside <strong>of</strong> <strong>City</strong> Limitsand after caretully considering the matter, Alderman B. o. Elliott moved that the Cit,.<strong>of</strong> <strong>Oxford</strong> fUrnish material and labor for the installation <strong>of</strong> said water meters andcharge the customer for same. This motiom was seconded by Alderman Robert W. Hick.,-,passed unanimously and it is so ordered.* * * * * * *Came on for consideration the matter or an increase in salary for C. P.
