MINUTE BOOK No. 14, CITY OF OXFORD, DEMENT'- MERIDIAN=0'-'_-_.:...:::=-_-_-___ ~ ________ ~-----'-~_~"---=-=:"::;'-'--_'--.----~---.. -----.-----.. -.-- ::.-.-~-. .;.. ~.-Whereas, this governing body adjudges that said special improvements be madeas provided in said resolution and th?t the property owners whose property abutsthat portion of Price street hereinabove described shall pay the costs and expensesof constructing the curbs, gutters, storm sewers, incidental drains, water andsewer connections, and one-third of the costs and expenses on each side of saidstreet of street grading, graveling and paving, computed, assessed and collectedin the manner provided by House Bill No. 76 of the Acts of the Regular LegislativeSession of the Mississippi Legislature 1ri 1950;Now, therefore:Section 2. Be and it is hereby ordained by the Mayor and Board of Aldermenof the City of Oxford, Mississippi, that the City Engineer be and he is herebyauthorized to construct, or cause to be constructed the special improvementsspecified in Section 1 of this resolution.'I,III!'Be it further ordained by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City ofOxford, Mississippi, that the City Engineer shall keep an accurate account ofsaid improvements and make a report of the same to the said Mayor and Board ofAldermen in the manner and form provided by law.Section 3. Be it further ordained by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of theCity of Oxford, Mississippi that the City Engineer be and he is hereby requiredto keep an account of the costs of said special improvements in the form and mannerreouired by law, and to make a report to this governing body in order that saidGcverning authority may levy the special assessments against the abutting propertyowners on the basis above specified and in the manner set forth by the laws ofthe State of Mississippi.Section 4. Be and it is further ordained by the Mayor and Board of Aldermenof the City of Oxford, Mississippi that this resolution take effect and be in forceas provided by law.Alderman B. O.
