That the lo1ayor and Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Oxford</strong>,Mississippi do hereby declare their intention to issue the bonds <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Oxford</strong>Municipal Separate School District <strong>of</strong> Lafayette County, Mississippi in theamount <strong>of</strong> $625,000.00 to raise moneyfor the following purposes:A. Erecting, repairing, equipping, remodelling and en1arpin~school buildings and related facilities, including gymnasi~auditoriums, lunch rooms, vocational training building, librariesand purchasing land therefor;B. Establishing and equipping school athletic fields and necessaryfacilities connected therewith, and purchasing land therefor; andC. Providing necessarYlliiter..;, light, heating a sewerage facilitiesfor school buildings and purchasing land therefor.Section 2. That a special election shall be and the same is hereby calledand ordered to be held within the said <strong>Oxford</strong> Municipal Separate School Districton Tuesday the 13th day <strong>of</strong> February, 1951 for the purpose <strong>of</strong> submitting tothe qualified electors <strong>of</strong> said school district, the proposition set forthin ttoe form <strong>of</strong> Notice <strong>of</strong> Election as contained in Section 4 <strong>of</strong> this reso1l!tion.Section 3. That said special election shall be held at the pollingplace designated and set forth in the form <strong>of</strong> Notice <strong>of</strong> Election as containedin Section 4 <strong>of</strong> this resolution. The said polling place for said electionshall be opened at the hour <strong>of</strong> 7 o'clock in the morning and shall be keptopen until the hour <strong>of</strong> 6 o'clock in the evening on the aforesaid date, andall qualified electors <strong>of</strong> said district will be entitled to vote in the saidelection.Section 4. That the <strong>City</strong> Clerk shall cause notice <strong>of</strong> said election tobe published once a week for at least three consecutive weeks in the "<strong>Oxford</strong>Eagle" a newspaper published in the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Oxford</strong>, in said district. Thefirst publication <strong>of</strong> said notice shall be made not less .than twenty-one daysprior to the date fixed for said election, and the last publication shall bemade not more than seven days prior to the said date. The said Notice shallbe in substantially the follmling form, to-wit:NOTICE OF BOND ELECTIONOXFORD MUNICIPAL SEPARATE SCHOOL DISTHICTLAFAYETTE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPINotice is hereb,y given to the qualified electors <strong>of</strong> the<strong>Oxford</strong> Municipal Separate School District <strong>of</strong> Lafayette CountyMississippi that a special election will be held in said schooldistrict on Tuesday the 13th day <strong>of</strong> February, 1951 for the purpose<strong>of</strong> submitting to the qualified electors <strong>of</strong> said school thefo11mling proposition, to-wit:PROPOSITIONShall the <strong>Oxford</strong> Municipal Separate School District <strong>of</strong> tafayetteCounty Mississippi issue its bonds in the principal amount <strong>of</strong>$625,000.00 to raise money for the following purposes:
