Keye, Superintendent, Oxford City Schools******************After the meeting had been called to order, the following business \ras had, to-wit. ~The Mayor and Board of Aldermen took up for consideration a certainresolution adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Oxford Municipal ~aU"School District on the 5th day of January, 1951 requesting the Mayor andBoard of Aldermen of the City of Oxford to call an election on a proposal toissue bonds or said District in the amount of $625,000.00 for the improvementof school"facilities following a discussion of the subject Alderman B. O.Elliott o~feredand moved the adoption of the following resolution:A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE HAYOR AND BOARDOF ALDER11EN OF THE CITY OF OXFORD, mSSISSIPPI TO IS:::;UE THEBONDS OF THE OXFORD HUNICIPAL SEPARATE SCHOOL DISTRICT IN THE~10UNT OF $625,000.00 FOR ~HE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR THEIMPROVEMENT OF SCHOOL FACILITIES IN SAID DISTRICT, AND CALLINGAND PROVIDING FOR THE HOLDING OF AN ELECTION THEREONWhereas, on the 5th day of January, 1951, the Board of Trustees of theOxford MUnicipal Separate School District of Lafayette County, Mississippi didadopts a certain resolution requesting the Mayor and Board of Aldermen to callan election to determine whether or not the bonds of said District shall beissued in the amount of $625,000.00 for the following purposes;,: '-A.
