Fulmer, Deputy Clerk***********~}***After the meeting had been called to order, the following business was transacted:On motion made by Alderman T. E. Combs, seconded by A1dex-man H. S. Sisk, and passedunanimously, it was ordered that the assessment ]'!E>11 forthe year 1950, ~having: beenequalized and revised according to law, be approved and the following PUBLIC NOTICEinserted in the OXFORD EAGLE.PUBLIC NOTICETO THE PUBLIC AND TAXPAYERS OF THE CITY OF OXFORD, MISSISSIPPI, AND OF THE OXFORDSEPARATE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.You are hereby notified that the personal and real property assessment rolls of theCity of Oxford, MiSSissippi, and of the Oxford Separate School District of LafayetteCounty, Mississippi, for the year 1950, con tinuing the action of the Mayor and Boardof Aldermen of said City on applications for homestead exemptions for the year 1950,have been equalized and revised according to law. The said rolls are now ready forinspection and examination. Any objections to said rolls or assessments thereincontained shall be made in writing and filed with the Clerk of said City on or before7:30 P. M., December 5, 1950, at his office in the City Hall of said City; and thatall assessments to which objections are made and which may be corrected and equalizedby the said Mayor and Board of Aldermen will be made final and said rolls and assessmentstherein contained will be finally approved qy said Mayor and Board of Aldermen;that all applications for homestead exemptions for 1950, as authorized by the lawsof the State of Mississippi, have been examined and allowed, with some applicationsbeing partially or completely disallowed.You are further notified that said Mayor and Board of Aldermen will be in session for ~.the purpose of hearing objections to said assessments and said rolls, and for allowanceIIor disallowance of applications for homestead exemptions which may be filed, saidmeeting to be held in the Court Room of the City Hall in Oxford, Mississippi onDecember 5th, 1950, at 7:30 P.
