Ethridge, <strong>City</strong> AttorneyAfter the meeting had been called to order, the following business was transacted:Mr. Will Lewis, President <strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong> Trustees, and Mr. R. E. Keye, SUperintendent<strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> Schools,met \-lith the Hayor and Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen and presented the plan forschool expansion. Alderman Ben J. Hilbun made a motion that the Board approve the planfor school building expansion as discussed by the School Board and the motion carriedunanimously. The <strong>City</strong> fl.ttorney was instructed to prepare the necessary resolution forenactment by the School Board so t~t the School Board might present same to the Mayorand Board <strong>of</strong> Aldermen. Said procedure being outlined in House Bill No. 74 <strong>of</strong> the RegularSession <strong>of</strong> the Mississippi Legislature <strong>of</strong> <strong>1950</strong>.*********************************~**Came on for consideration the matter <strong>of</strong> The White Rose Laundry requesting a refund onprivilege tax in tr~ amount <strong>of</strong> $8.00. In a letter from The White Rose Laundry they statethat they are no longer operating in <strong>Oxford</strong>. Motion was made, seconded and passed and itwas ordered that the <strong>City</strong> Clerk investigate and if White Rose Cleaners no longer dobusiness in <strong>Oxford</strong>, the <strong>City</strong> Clerk is authorized to refund said $8.00.***********************************Upon motion made, seconded and passed, it was ordered that this Board do now recessuntil '7:00 P. N. }10nday, Nov.e:nber 13, <strong>1950</strong>.I\~
