PROVIDING FOR PUBUCATION OF THIS RESOLUTION, ANDFOR DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OBJECTIONS TO THE IM­PROVEMENT', AND PROVIDING FOR SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS AGAINSTABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS TO PAY FOR SAID IMPROVEMENTS.Section 1. Be and it is hereb,y resolved b.Y the Mayor andBoard of' Aldermen of' the City of' Oxford, Mississippi that, proceedingunder the 1942 MiSSissippi Code Sections on Special Improvements,Volume 3, Division 16, that it is necessary that street paving,curbs and gutters, incidental storm sewers and other drains beconstructed on North Seventh Street, and the East and West sidesthereof', between the intersection of' the North line of' WashingtonAvenue and the South line of' Price Street in the City of' Oxford ,Mississippi, as shown b.Y the of'ficial map of' said City and theplans and specifications in the office of' the City Engineer.Section 2. That in paving said street as now shown by theof'f'icial city map of' Oxt'ord, MiSSissippi, and the proposed extensionto a connection with Price Street, grading, graveling andpaving, sidewalks, eurbs and gutters, and other drains and incidentalstorm sewers, it will be necessary to lay metal and otherpipe connections, and that theref'or and in all of' the other worksand things specified in Section 1 of' this resolution, the plansand specif'ications prepared b,y the City Engineer and now on f'ilein the City Engineer's of'f'ice be and they are hereb,y approved andadopted.Section 3.. That the grades specif'ied in the above mentionedplans and specif'ications are hereby adopted and established as tethe grades on which the above and f'oregoing works are to be constructed.Section 4. That the property owners whose property abutsa long North 7th Street in the area described in Section 1 of' thisresolution, shall pay the costs of constructing the sidewalks,curbs, gutters, water connections, sewer connections and one-thirdof' the cost of' the abutting street grading, graveling and pavementin tront of' or abutting along their property, or be subject to assessmentf'or the cost of' the special inprovements.
