Ethridge , Attorney, ,************************************* ******After the meeting had been called to order, the following business was. transacted:Came on for consideration the matter <strong>of</strong> protests or objections which may have peenfiled in the changing <strong>of</strong> the zoning designation <strong>of</strong> certain property ow.ners on Van BurenAvenue from "!.:" Residential District to "B", Commercial District. Notice having been publishedaccording to law, and this meejiing set as the date and the time for protest. The <strong>City</strong> Clerkreported that no protests and objections had been filed, and no citizen was present at themeeting to protest or object. It is, therefore, ordered and adjudged that the ordinance onPage 283 <strong>of</strong> the Ordinance <strong>Book</strong> take immediate effect provided therein, and that the subjectproperty be rezonid as provided in said ordinance.****************************************Came on for consideration the matter <strong>of</strong> appointing five park commissioners in and for the<strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Oxford</strong>, Mississippi. After considerable discussion the Mayor and Board agreedthat the members <strong>of</strong> the present Extra~Legal Board had served well and faithfully, and thatit was fitting and proper to appoint the members <strong>of</strong> the formal board established by an ordinanceon Page 285 <strong>of</strong> the ordinance book. The Mayor and Board unanimously agreed on, and herewithappoint the following persons for the following terms to the Park Commission <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong><strong>Oxford</strong>, Mississippi:David G. Neilson, Jr for a term <strong>of</strong> 3 yearsMiss Jeanne Lowry for a term <strong>of</strong>--'-- yearsMrs. M. R. Wilson for a term <strong>of</strong> t. yearsE. L. Hooker for a term <strong>of</strong> 5 yearsB. J. Huckenpahler for a term <strong>of</strong> l years******************************************~}***************David G.
