Service, service and parts* * * * * *Now, on this 5th day of September, 1950, the Mayor and Board of Aldermen took up forconsideration the report of the Electie>n Commissioners within and for the (I:llty ofOxford, Mississippi, concerning the Special Beer Election held in said City on saiddate, Tuesday, September 5, 1950, the said report being made qy the Election Commissionersto the Mayor and Board of Aldermen after the polls had c1osed, after the officers conductingsaid election had certified the returns to the Election Commissioners, and afterthe Election Commissioners had carefullY canvassed said returns on said night of saidSpecial Beer Election. Upon motion qy Alderman H. S. Sisk, seconded by Alderman T. Acting under and pursuant to a certain resolution adopted qyyou on the 11th day of July, 1950, entitled:"RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING PETITION AND CALLINGA SPECIAL BEER ELECTION TO DETERMINE WImHER THE SALE,ETC. OF BEER OF AN ALCHOUC CONTENT OF NOT MORE THANFOUR PER CENT (4%) BY WEIGHT SHALL BE PERMITTED WITHIN THECITY UMITS OF OXFORD, MISSISSIPPI, nthe city clerk and we did cause notices of said election to be published inthe Oxford Eagle, a newspaper of Oxford, Lafayette County, MissiSSippi, andto be posted on JulY 1.3, 1950, in three public places in the City of Oxford,namely on the bulletin boards at the City Hall and the Court House, and ona bulletin board on the South side of the Square next to Blaylock's Drug Store.All of said notices were so published in the form and manner of Exhibit Ahereto, and were published in the manner aforesaid on the dates set forth insaid Exhibit A and the publisher's affidavit, on July 1.3, 20, 27, and August3, 10, 17, 24, 31, 1950.--- -- ---------------
