The saidMayor and Board of Aldermen shall have the power and authority toappoint the same person to any two or more appointive offices, andmay appoint a member ,of the Board of Aldermen to the office of streetcommissioner. Said governing ,authorities shall have power and authorityto require bonds, for the faithfUl performance of theirduties, from any of the officers or employees so appointed, and tofix the amount of such bond, or bonds and pay the same from themunicipal treasury. The terms of office or employment of all officersand employees so appointed shall expire at the expirationof the term of office of the board making the appointment, unlesssuch officers or employees shall have sooner been discharged asherein provided.Section 3. Be and it is further ordained by the Mayor andBoard of Aldermen of the City of Oxford, Mississippi that this ordinancebe published as required by law, and that it take effectand be in force from and after the expiration of the terms of officeof the present municipal officers.Alderman T. E. Combs moved the adoption of the ordinancesection by section and then as a whole, and Alderman W. T.
