Said governing ,authorities shall have power and authorityto require bonds, for the faithfUl performance <strong>of</strong> theirduties, from any <strong>of</strong> the <strong>of</strong>ficers or employees so appointed, and t<strong>of</strong>ix the amount <strong>of</strong> such bond, or bonds and pay the same from themunicipal treasury. The terms <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice or employment <strong>of</strong> all <strong>of</strong>ficersand employees so appointed shall expire at the expiration<strong>of</strong> the term <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> the board making the appointment, unlesssuch <strong>of</strong>ficers or employees shall have sooner been discharged asherein provided.Section 3. Be and it is further ordained by the Mayor andBoard <strong>of</strong> Aldermen <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Oxford</strong>, Mississippi that this ordinancebe published as required by law, and that it take effectand be in force from and after the expiration <strong>of</strong> the terms <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice<strong>of</strong> the present municipal <strong>of</strong>ficers.Alderman T. E. Combs moved the adoption <strong>of</strong> the ordinancesection by section and then as a whole, and Alderman W. T.
