Be and it is hereb,y resolved b,y the Mayor and Boardof Alderman of the City of Oxford, Mississippi, that, proceedingunder the provision of House Bill No. 76 of the Regular LegislativeSession of 1950, it is necessary that curbs and gutters, incidentalstorms sewers and drains be constructed over and along bothsides of Johnson Avenue, South 16th Street, and Gafield Avenue,between a point on the South side of Johnson Avenue 160 feet fromthe intersection of said Johnson Avenue with South 16th Streetleading northwardly around the junction of Johnson Avenue andSouth 16th Street Southwardly along South 16th Street to thejunction with Grrfield Avenue on the Southern edge of Lot No. 64 inSection 28, Township 8 South, Range 3 West, in the City of Oxford,Le,fayette County, Mississippi, thence Eastwardly alonp, GarfieldAvenue to the eastern limits of the City of DY..ford, MissiSSippi.Section 2. That in constructing said curbs and ~tters, incidentalstorm sewers and ,drains, it will be necessary to lay metaland other pipe connections, and that therefor and in all of the otherworks and things specified herein or shown in the plans and specificationsprepared b,y the City Engineer and now on file in the CityEngineer's office be and they are hereby approved and adopted.Section 3. That the grades specified in the above mentionedplans and s,pacifications are hereby adopted and established as thegrades on which the above and foregoing works are to be constructed.Section 4. That the property OlIDers whose propert;- ~b't):t~~ alongboth sides of Johnson Avenue, South 16th Street, and Garfie'ld Avenuein the areas described in Section 1 of this Resolution, shall pay thecost of the construction of the curbs and gutters, incidental stormsewers and drains, and the necessary grading and filling incident tosaid spacial improvements.Section 5. That the materials witb which said curbs and gutters' areto be specially improved shall be of any of that which is set forth in theplans and specifications prepared b,y the City Engineer, which have beenadopted and are now on file with the City Engineer.Section 6.
