Dear Friends:
If you or someone you know is finding it more and more difficult to hear, please
remember that professional, unbiased help is available at the Center for the
Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
From the latest in hearing aids to fully tested equipment such as amplified
phones and visual signaling devices, from speech reading and communication
strategy small group sessions to sign language classes, the Center is here to help
improve the quality of life for all those facing hearing challenges.
For families with a baby newly diagnosed with hearing loss, the Center is a place
to turn for comfort, information and counseling. Services are begun right away
since the first three years of life are the critical time for language development.
Parents are encouraged to choose the type of communication they believe will be
best for their child and family and then receive services that support their choice.
The Center could not continue to meet the growing needs of those with hearing
loss without the generous support of our contributors and volunteers. During
these challenging times, your help is more essential than ever. On behalf of all
