Young dog class and Junior class will<br />

be presented to the spectators in the<br />

main arena when the judging has<br />

been finished; next is the presentation<br />

ceremony of the first rated three dogs<br />

of the Young dog class and the Junior<br />

class as well as the presentation<br />

ceremony of the best dogs of the<br />

working dogs class herding males and<br />

females.<br />

When the judging of the working dog<br />

class females has been finished the<br />

presentation ceremony for the best<br />

dogs in protection service and of the<br />

VA rated females will follow, next is<br />

the breed group competition.<br />

Following the conclusion of judging of<br />

the working dog class males, then the<br />

presentation ceremony of the best<br />

dogs in protection service and of the<br />

VA rated males.

Working Dog Class: Dogs which are at<br />

least 2 years old by the given date of<br />

September 03 th 2010, with training<br />

degree and which already have<br />

received the show rating “excellent” or<br />

which have a minimum show rating<br />

of “very good” at a regional or national<br />

winners breed show.<br />

For dogs from other countries, the<br />

evidence of eligibility to the Working<br />

Dog Class must be submitted in the<br />

form of proof of passing a test at<br />

international class level so far as the<br />

concerned dog does not have a<br />

training degree pursuant to VDH or<br />

WU<strong>SV</strong> trial regulations or similar<br />

institution recognised by the <strong>SV</strong>.<br />

Dogs in the Working Dog Class must<br />

complete a protection service test<br />

before the stand examination. Dogs<br />

which achieve the result “pass” or “not<br />

sufficient” must not take part in the<br />

further competition. Dogs that receive<br />

the result „does not release“ (effective<br />

also at an exercise) do not get a TSBrating<br />

and are not allowed to take part<br />

at the further competition.<br />

Young Dog Class:<br />

Dogs under the age of 24 months and<br />

over the age of 18 months by the given<br />

date of September 03 th 2010.<br />

Junior Class:<br />

Dogs under the age of 18 months and<br />

over the age of 12 months by the given<br />

date of September 03 th 2010.<br />

No previous SG show rating is required<br />

for either of these classes.<br />

Eligible are German Shepherd Dogs<br />

which are registered in the breeding<br />

book of the <strong>SV</strong> or another breeding<br />

book recognised by the FCI. The dog<br />

must be at least 12 months old and<br />

vaccinated against rabies. Excluded are<br />

dogs which are ill or suspected to be ill.<br />

Dogs with distemper or skin diseases<br />

will be strictly declined. Dogs which<br />

are not registered for the show are not<br />

allowed, under no circumstances, to be<br />

brought into the show grounds. All<br />

exhibitors must secure that their dog<br />

Dogs that are taken to the event (also<br />

the dogs of visitors) must show a proof<br />

of an effective vaccination against<br />

rabies. The protection against rabies is<br />

Selection Class only in Class 1 breed<br />

surveyed dogs are eligible. (Dogs from<br />

other countries where the awarding of<br />

breed surveys does not take place are<br />

excepted.) Dogs with reproach and<br />

complete teeth and in good condition<br />

and with at least the training degree<br />

SchH2. These must be descended from<br />

survey- and performance breeding as<br />

well as an ED-rating “normal”, “nearly<br />

normal” or “still acceptable”. Dogs<br />

which are intended to start in the V-<br />

Selection Class for the second time<br />

must proof the training degree SchH3.<br />

“V” in the Working Dog Class can only<br />

be given to dogs with “a” which are<br />

over 3 ½ years old and are breed<br />

surveyed. Dogs born after January 1th<br />

2004 need also an elbow rating of<br />

“normal”, “nearly normal” or “still<br />

acceptable”. Dogs kept in other<br />

countries are excepted.<br />

Herding Working Dog Classes:<br />

Dogs older than 24 months must have<br />

passed the training degree „HGH“<br />

(herding dog). The training degree<br />

must have been passed under a <strong>SV</strong><br />

recognized HGH-judge.<br />

Dogs which are intended to be shown<br />

in the Young dog class and Junior class<br />

can also be presented without training<br />

degree on condition that the owner is<br />

registered as shepherd. The proof must<br />

be given through a certification of the<br />

shepherd’s federation of the country<br />

where the owner lives.<br />

does not have contact with other dogs.<br />

The organiser is not liable for any<br />

damages caused by a dog, even not in<br />

the case of theft of a dog.<br />

Should any dog fall ill after the<br />

stand examination, this must be<br />

reported immediately to the<br />

veterinarian, who will be present in<br />

the show grounds.<br />

Withdrawals can only be permitted,<br />

if a confirmation from the obliged<br />

vet of confidence or the form<br />

“withdrawal” (issued by the<br />

prescribed by the manufacturer of the<br />

vaccine.<br />

Puppies under the age of three months<br />

without vaccination can come to the<br />

show if a) they are accompanied by<br />

their dam or b) a declaration in writing<br />

is presented from the person entitled<br />

to dispose stating, that the animal has<br />

been kept only at the location of its<br />

birth and that it has never been in<br />

contact with wild animals.<br />

The proof of vaccination has to be<br />

given through a veterinarian<br />

Breed Groups:<br />

Breeders, that have enrolled a breed<br />

group, can have their groups judged on<br />

Friday. Therefore a specially ordered<br />

judge is for your disposal. Breed groups<br />

have to consist of five dogs. The<br />

breeder, however, is free to nominate<br />

more breed groups. All dogs of the<br />

breed group have to be presented as a<br />

closed group. All breed groups are<br />

evaluated on Friday and are judged on<br />

Sunday after the judging of the<br />

working dog classes is finished.<br />

Training degrees and breed surveys<br />

which are not proven by July 28t h 2010<br />

(registration deadline) will not be<br />

published in the catalogue.<br />

We recommend that members and<br />

exhibitors who are entering dogs<br />

which have recently passed a breed<br />

survey or a training degree, should<br />

send in a notarised copy of the<br />

documentation (score book, show card,<br />

breed survey proof).<br />

For registrations in the Junior and<br />

Young Dog Classes a certified copy of<br />

page 1 and 4 (signed either by a<br />

breeding warden or a notary) is<br />

needed. On this should also appear the<br />

complete change of ownership.<br />

For dogs from foreign countries the<br />

regulations of the decree (EG) Nr.<br />

998/2003 are in effect (tattoo or<br />

microchip). Additionally, for dogs from


foreign countries there must be<br />

presented either a “pet passport”<br />

according to article 5 paragraph 1 of<br />

the regulations of the decree (EG) Nr.<br />

998/2003 or a Certificate of Health<br />

according to the sample of the<br />

addition to the decision 2004/824/EG.<br />

Exhibitors and people who care for the<br />

dogs have to announce the occurrence<br />

Camping, Caravans, Campers<br />

or the suspect of a disease which gives<br />

reason to conclude for an infection<br />

with a pathogen which causes a<br />

disease as well as every case of death<br />

immediately to the event supervisors.<br />

Dogs which come from a city or a<br />

district which is barred because of<br />

rabies can only participate if an official<br />

proof is shown stating, that the local<br />

If a proof according to No. 1, No. 2, No. 3<br />

or No. 4 cannot be presented, the dog is<br />

excluded from the event.<br />

During the event the participating<br />

dogs must be under constant<br />

supervision of their caretakers.<br />

In case that there should be an<br />

outbreak of rabies in the City of<br />

there be any other objections made by<br />

veterinary authorities to the scheduled<br />

event, this event can be cancelled<br />

without resulting in any claims for<br />

compensation against the country of<br />
