6.2 Publishing Information on PerformanceThe Council will publish information in its Annual MonitoringReport, which compares performance against standards andtargets set out in this Scheme. The Council will also reporton developments and good practice.This performance information will be published on theinternet and intranet and hard copies are available to thepublic on request.The Council will, as part of the Wales Programme forImprovement, conduct a self assessment of the servicesprovided by the Council through the medium of Welsh, andcompliance with the Welsh Language Scheme as part ofongoing monitoring in every service area, as well as theCouncil’s corporate Welsh Services Unit.As part of the Council’s Annual ImprovementPlan the Council will include:• a summary of the steps agreed upon followingannual self assessment, drawing on the WelshLanguage Scheme Annual Monitoring Report• performance data for the statutory indicator onWelsh medium education(Or provide details about how the public may obtaina copy of the Council’s Annual Monitoring Reporton the implementation of its Welsh LanguageScheme).The Council will also publish the followinginformation in its Annual Monitoring Report withregard to these 6 Welsh language indicators:Number and % of the sample of third parties monitored that conform tothe requirements of the Welsh Language Scheme in the following areas:-• care services• youth and leisure services• pre-school provisionNumber and % of public facing posts that have been denoted as “Welshessential” and have been filled by staff who are bilingualInformation Technology (information to follow from WLB)The number and % of staff who have received training in Welsh to a specificqualificationWL1µWL2WL3WL4The number and % of staff within the Council’s services who are able tospeak Welsh (excluding schools) according to:• division• post grade• workplace, office and centre and in the main office areasWL5Number of complaints received in relation to the implementation of theLanguage Scheme and the % dealt with in accordance with the Council’scorporate standardsWL6
