Cymeradwywyd ar 15 Gorffennaf 2009 gan y Cyngor wedi cyfnod ymgynghori trylwyr.Nod y <strong>Cynllun</strong>, fel ag y bu gyda’r cynlluniau blaenorol, yw darparu gwasanaeth Cymraeg o’r radd flaenaf sy’n cwrdd aganghenion trigolion bwrdeistref sirol <strong>Rhondda</strong> <strong>Cynon</strong> <strong>Taf</strong>, p’un ai ydyn nhw’n siarad Cymraeg yn rhugl neu’n un o’roedolion a phobl ifainc niferus hynny sy’n dysgu’r iaith.Bwriad y Cyngor ydy mynd ati yn ystod cyfnod y <strong>Cynllun</strong> i fabwysiadu Strategaeth Sgiliau Ieithyddol a’u gweithreduer mwyn sicrhau ein bod ni’n gallu diwallu anghenion y cyhoedd sydd eisiau trafod â ni yn eu dewis iaith.Hyderaf y byddwch chi’n cytuno bod y cynllun newydd yn adeiladu ar waith da Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol <strong>Rhondda</strong><strong>Cynon</strong> <strong>Taf</strong> a’i fod yn dangos ein hymrwymiad parhaus i faterion sy’n ymwneud â’r <strong>Gymraeg</strong> i bawb sy’n byw, yngweithio neu’n ymweld â’r fwrdeistref sirol.Cynghorydd Eudine HanaganAelod o’r Cabinet ar faterion Addysg, Medrau a Dysgu Gydol Oes a Hyrwyddwraigdros Faterion y <strong>Gymraeg</strong><strong>Rhondda</strong> <strong>Cynon</strong> <strong>Taf</strong> Welsh Language Scheme 2009 – 2012ForewordThis is the fourth Welsh Language Scheme prepared by <strong>Rhondda</strong> <strong>Cynon</strong> <strong>Taf</strong> County Borough Council inaccordance with the Welsh Language Act 1993. Following extensive consultation, the Council approved theScheme on 15 July 2009.As with previous schemes, its aim is to provide services of the highest standard through the medium ofWelsh to meet the needs of residents of the county borough, whether they are fluent Welsh speakers orone of the many adults and young people who are learning the language.During the course of Scheme, the Council aims to adopt and implement a Language Skills Strategy toensure that we meet the needs of members of the public who would like to contact us in theirlanguage of choice.I am sure that you will agree that this new scheme builds on the good work already undertaken by<strong>Rhondda</strong> <strong>Cynon</strong> <strong>Taf</strong> County Borough Council and that it shows our on-going commitment to Welshlanguage issues for the benefit of all those who live, work or visit the county borough.Councillor Eudine HanaganCabinet Member for Education, Skills and Lifelong Learning and Welsh Language Champion
