This principle is being applied to the Council's service delivery and this Scheme sets outhow this will be achieved. This Scheme replaces the previous Scheme which was in force from April 2006. The Council’s intention isto build on the previous Welsh Language Scheme and strengthen it.Welsh language matters are an integral part of equality issues, good practice and customer careservices. The intention is to mainstream the language so that language choice in terms of publicservice becomes the norm. This revised Scheme was approved by the Welsh Language Board under section 14(1) of the Act on23 September 2009.
