2.6 RegulationThe Council, when exercising a regulatory function, such asthe granting of licences and permissions, will encourage anyorganisation, body or individual to adhere to bilingual practicesand use the Welsh language in their activities.It will do so by stating that the Council operates a WelshLanguage Scheme The CounciI commits to:i encouraging third party organisations who provide servicesto the public to use the Welsh language in their servicedeliveryii referring the organisation to the Council’sLanguage Scheme and the good practiceestablished in it, including measures in relation tousing the Welsh language in service agreements,service licences or in other regulatorydocumentationiii offering guidance and support to organisationsExamples of how the Council can implement thisaspect of the Scheme in conducting its regulatoryand statutory functions are as follows: -Nature of theInfluenceOn whom?
