At that time I was also managing a care home in Southport. I was part of the set-up team and inaddition to being involved in the management I visited homes giving care from Formby to Churchtown until December 2000. Aftera short break I returned to the team as Recruitment and Training Manager. In 2012, I took over as unit Manager. Being part of anestablished and professional team gives immense job satisfaction. All our carers are committed to providing the highest quality care.Our latest Service User Satisfaction Survey confirms the highest quality service levels.CHRISTOPHER WILLIAMS -CARE ADMIN ASSISTANT:I started in 2011 as a full time carer. Howeverin my employment experience to date I havebeen very involved with IT. I still work parttimeas a carer, which I combine with work asan evening coordinator and admin assistant inthe office team. I find it very rewarding to assistdisadvantaged persons to live independently intheir own homes.JACKIE MURRAY - RECRUITMENT/HR MANAGER:I started with the team as a carer in 2005. I took over the role of Recruitment and Training Managerfrom Pauline in December 2005. I am very mindful of the crucial importance of selecting the rightkind of person to be an AllCare carer. Previous care sector experience is not essential. Kindness,dependability and the desire to care are. I then work with Jude and Val to ensure all of our carershave the appropriate training and equipment to provide the required care. I find it very rewardingwhen we receive the positive feed back from our clients.SARAH LEATHERBARROW -ACCOUNTS MANAGER:I started working with the AllCare team in 1994as a carer. Through the years I worked as acoordinator and have been Accounts Managersince 2000. I cover all aspects of accounts, billingand wages administration. Like all members ofthe team we tend to multi-task. Although wehave specific duties we also cover for each otherduring holidays and sickness. I cover for Liz,Louise and Maxine when they are not working.Our sole objective is to ensure the appropriatecare, to the right client, at the right time.JUDE KAYA & VAL McDADE -LIZ WARDELL &LOUISE DENNIS - CARECO-ORDINATORS:We both worked for AllCare as carers since 2004.This experience was invaluable as our careersadvanced with the team and we became day coordinators.We open the office at 7.00am everymorning. It is essential to confirm all plannedvisits are covered. We are also available to give Carers and Clients the supportthey need as care packages can commence at 7.00am. It is our principal functionto ensure all calls are covered. It gives us great job satisfaction to know at the endof each day’s work all calls have been made in addition to any extra requirementsService Users phone in with.SYBILLE THOMPSON -ADMIN ASSISTANT:I have worked in care for many years as a carer. Icame to work with the AllCare team in 2003 as anadmin assistant. My previous care experience hasproved invaluable in my work. Its very rewardingto work in the AllCare environment, with aprofessional caring and friendly team. From timeto time I am able to go out to the Service Usershouses to provide care, which gives me a valuableinsight as to how well the care team are performing.ASSESSORS/TRAINERS:We share two main responsibilities. We visiteach new client before our carers commencecare. We ensure each client is in receipt of themaximum financial assistance. We also ensurethat all clients have the necessary care plan,time and equipment to cover their care needs.If the carers allocated require specific skill or training we make the necessaryarrangements. In addition we give the regular training and upgrading requiredby the regulatory bodies. Both of our roles are very satisfying as we are able toenhance the quality of life of our Service Users allowing them to live independently,comfortably and securely in their own homes.MAXINE MASON - SENIORCARE CO-ORDINATORI started working with the team in 1997. Myprevious position was as a Care Home Manager,a position I took over from Pauline. My mainrole is to allocate all care calls to the appropriatecarers and produce care rotas one week inadvance. This allows carers to plan their weekand confirms continuity of care for Service Users. I also cover as a day co-ordinatorwhen Liz and Louise are not working.
