QSC PROFESSIONAL POWER AMPLIFIERS - RMXSeriesThese high-power, two-channel amplifiers are specifically designed to provide highlevels of performance in a compact chassis. Multiple, balanced, input connectors areavailable catering for touring, club and fixed-installation applications. Comprehensiveamplifier protection circuitry helps prevent damage to the amplifier and speakers.RMX 850, RMX 1450, RMX 1850HD, RMX 2450Linear powered, fan-cooled and 2U rack-mounting, these designs are capable ofdriving speaker systems of two to eight ohms impedance. Switches on the rear canbe set to configure the operation of the amplifier in stereo, parallel and bridge modes,as well as clip-limiting and low-frequency filtering. A 5Hz protection filter is always incircuit to protect against DC or low, sub-audio frequencies. The amplifiers also provideshort-circuit, open-circuit, thermal, ultrasonic and RF protection. Input connectors arewired in parallel, supporting loop-through operation to additional amplifier channels.The Speakon output for channel one is wired on all four pins for single-cable connectionto bi-amplified speakers.The front panel has a power switch, two cooling-exhaust vents and two gain controls.LED indicators are provided for AC power (green), signal presence (yellow) and signalclip(red) for each channel. The signal-clip LEDs also illuminate when a channel is inthermal-mute or if a short circuit on the output occurs.The rear panel has an IEC socket for AC input power and a resettable circuit breaker.Channel inputs are balanced using barrier strip, latching XLR and 6.35 mm jackconnectors. Amplifier operation is determined by mode switches for i nput configuration.Speaker connections are provided as two Speakon connectors and two pairs ofbinding-posts.
