with another current file unless a copy <strong>of</strong> the paper can beconveniently placed on the first file.(ii)When files are to be linked, strings <strong>of</strong> the file board <strong>of</strong> the lowerfile (but not its flaps) will be tied round the upper file and those<strong>of</strong> the file board or flap <strong>of</strong> the upper file tied underneath it in abow out <strong>of</strong> the way so that each file is intact with all itsconnected papers properly arranged on its file board or flap.(iii)On receipt after completion <strong>of</strong> action, the linked files will beimmediately delinked after taking relevant extracts and placingthem on the linked files, where necessary.40.22 Use <strong>of</strong> urgency gradings(i)The two urgency gradings authorised for use on cases are‘immediate’ and ‘priority’.(ii)The label ‘immediate’ will be used only in the cases requiringprompt attention. The “Priority’ label will be used for caseswhich, though not warranting prompt attention, have normallyto be given precedence over those not bearing any urgencygrading.(iii)The grading <strong>of</strong> urgency assigned to a case will be reviewed byall concerned at different stages <strong>of</strong> its progress and, wherenecessary, revised.
