The following is a list of clarifications for this project: General Info1. The project is an expansion of Panera’s kitchen into an adjacent kitchen space that hasbeen unused since Panera originally occupied this building. Was a previously a DisneyStore kitchen.2. The General Contractor with the lowest and best overall bid will be awarded this project.3. Included with this Invitation is a bid summary form, please submit your bid on thisform. This for owner qualification purposes.4. All work shall be performed during normal working hours unless otherwise noted.5. All General Building permits will be obtained by Breads of the World all otherassociated trade permits will be the responsibility of the General Contractor and theirassociated subcontractors.6. Building Owner / Breads of the World, LLC will be responsible for all tap fees.7. Construction will commence after written notification of Landlord turnover, contractorwill begin construction no later that 7 days from receipt of a written Notice to Proceed.8. This is NOT a prevailing Wage project. Please bid accordingly.9. Electrical contractor will purchase all lighting from Panera’s National account vendor .Quote Included with Bid Package.10. Prior to start of construction, the selected contractor will be provided withadequate sets of drawings that will read CONSTRUCTION SET – FINAL (YellowSet). These drawings will include all revisions to the Permit/Bid set addressingBuilding, Health, Fire Dept’s plan review comments & misc. Owner revisions. Theconstruction costs for these revisions will be negotiated with the selectedcontractor. It will be the contractor’s responsibility to distribute the FinalConstruction set of drawings to all of its subcontractors & vendors. Do not buildfrom the Permit/Bid set. Any errors in construction due to the use of any other setthan the Yellow Construction Final set will be the responsibility of the GC orassociated trade. Do not include construction plan costs in your bid proposals.11. Owner will carry builders risk insurance for the duration of the project. The amountinsured shall be the cost of the GC’s work plus $300,000. Owner will not be responsiblefor any lost or stolen items during construction.12. Change orders will be forwarded to the owner with a maximum 10% Mark-up. Noadditional fees or markup.13. All bid information included in this letter shall become part of the final contractdocuments. Carpentry/ Flooring/Storefront14. Please Include in your bid proposal – replacement of the existing 42” service door.Provide all hardware for this door per Group 1 (Service Door). This replacement is inaddition to door #1.15. Schleuter metal will be provided by GC at all tile transitions. Schleuter metal will alsobe provided by GC at all Quarry/Ceramic Tile transitions.
