Sessions will run on July 9 – 13, July 16 – 20, July 23 – 27and, we have added a fourth week from July 30 – August 3. Feesfor this program are $200 per child for a 5-day session. A 10 %discount will be applied for JCCC members and additional childrenfrom the same family will receive a 5% discount (discount applies to2nd subsequent children). JCCC Annual BazaarThe JCCC Annual Bazaar committee is busy organizing our biggestone-day fundraiser of the year! So mark your calendar for SaturdayMay 5, 2012 from 12:30pm to 4:00pm. You won’t want to miss anyof the bargains!!As usual, the Annual Bazaar is a shopping extravaganza withgreat deals on Noritake tableware, logoware, lawn accessories,gardening items, starter plants, baked goods, etc., plus lots ofwhite/pink elephant treasures and of course our Silent Auction withsome great products to bid on. Residents living at Nipponia Home had the opportunity toenjoy the camaraderie of other Japanese seniors, activities, andJapanese food. As needs and numbers of issei changed and costsincreased a decision to close the facility was made in 2000.In 1978 the Momiji Health Care Society was founded tocontinue the need of providing service and support to our JapaneseCanadian seniors. The work of the Momiji Health Care Societyhelped to establish the Momiji Centre, a multi-faceted centre thatincludes a senior’s residence for Japanese Canadians in 1992, aswell as create partnerships to broaden the support and care of ourJapanese Canadian seniors.
