The increase was a reflectionof development across all businesses, but was primarily due to externalgrowth in specialised financing solutions.The consolidation of LaSer Cofinoga and the acquisition of the Indianbrokerage firm Geojit accounted for 7,496 and 2,464 extra employeesrespectively. At constant scope, organic growth gave rise to 8,174 FTEs(1,291 in France and 6,883 in other countries), primarily in InternationalThe Group’s workforce breaks down as follows:➤BY GEOGRAPHICAL AREARetail banking and Financial Services (IR FS), Asset Management andServices (AMS) and Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB).Outside France, the majority of territories created net new jobs in2007. Northern Europe was particularly buoyant, especially Ukraine,Poland, the United Kingdom and Russia.
