Straight From <strong>the</strong> Heart <strong>the</strong> <strong>YMCA</strong> Capital CampaignThe <strong>YMCA</strong> Capital Campaign Straightfrom <strong>the</strong> Heart is a key part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><strong>YMCA</strong>'s 10-year, $26 million CapitalDevelopment Plan. The goal <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Straight from <strong>the</strong> Heartcampaign was to raise $7.5 million, with<strong>the</strong> <strong>YMCA</strong> contributing ano<strong>the</strong>r $7.5million and <strong>the</strong> remaining $11 millioncoming from <strong>the</strong> three orders <strong>of</strong>government. Straight from <strong>the</strong> Heart hassurpassed its original goal by raising$8.7 million - <strong>the</strong> most ever raised byour <strong>YMCA</strong>.These generous gifts made possible <strong>the</strong>first new <strong>YMCA</strong> in downtown <strong>Edmonton</strong>in 100 years.
