Of significance is towards haltingthe vast forest conversion occurring throughout the country - this I believe is one of the greatest threats the country is facing. Prioritization of action isnecessary. Integrating MNS’ four stated goals - Conservation, Education, Communication and Empowering Members- is critical in making a difference.I hold strong to what this home-grown conservation organisation has made for itself, and what it stands for. I have had the opportunity and privilege ofworking for MNS almost for as long as I have been a member in the last seven years! As a result, I am fully aware of the various real trials andtribulations that surround the organization along with the enormous untapped potentials it possesses, and with this, believe I can bring a difference to thisorganization. In today’s complex world, MNS faces many challenges, as with any other organization, in making itself relevant, and above all, establishing thatrelevance.MNS posses the reach and expertise within the current membership, and the partnerships it has developed for 70 years - the task for us in the next fewyears will be to rebuild the eroded pieces and harness the successes it has built so far. I wish to see it grow to the full of its ability, achieving tangibleconservation significance in this country.I fully believe that MNS has one of the greatest potentials in making a difference in this country, a true Malaysian voice to be reckoned with by everysector of the Malaysian society.
