e. Place the new Saw Blade (82) betweeneach of the Guide assembliesand around the Upper Blade Wheel(37) and Lower Blade Wheel (54).IMPORTANT: The teeth must bepointing downward toward theMotor. (See Figure U.)f. NOTE: The Bandsaw is equippedwith a 64” diameter, .025” thick,15/32” wide, 14 teeth per inch SawBlade (82). The machine will alsoaccept Blades in 4, 6, 8, and 10tooth sizes. The choice of Bladepitch is determined by the thicknessof the material to be cut. The thinnerthe workpiece, the more teeth is recommended.A minimum of 3 teethshould engage the workpiece at alltimes for proper <strong>cutting</strong>.(See Figure U.)CAUTION: If the teeth of the SawBlade are so far apart that theystraddle the workpiece, severedamage to the workpiece and/orSaw Blade will result.g. Tighten the tension on the new SawBlade (82) by turning the Blade TensionKnob (34). (See Figure U.)h. Close the Blade Back Cover (114).(See Figure U.)4. To replace the V-Belt: The Bandsawuses a size 0-506 V-Belt (10).To replace the V-Belt:HEX BOLT(70)SPINDLE PULLEY(1)V-BELT (10)FIGURE VMOTOR PULLEY(79)a. Open the Pulley Cover (72).(See Figure V.)b. Loosen the Hex Bolt (70) to releasetension on the old V-Belt.(See Figure F.)c. Remove the old V-Belt (10) from thetwo Pulleys (1, 79). (See Figure V.)d. Place the new V-Belt (10) into theproper Pulley (1, 79) combination forthe desired Blade speed.(See Figures G and V.)e. Adjust the position of the Motor (81)to obtain approximately 1/2” depressionin the V-Belt (10) when applyingpressure with your thumb.(See Figure V.)f.
