46 STU Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologiesinterface for educational 3D graphical editors, where we focus mainlyon a preview hint visualized before an action is executed. This previewshows the consequence of the user's potential action. To verifyour theory we have implemented a simulation of the cube cross section.Tests performed by users demonstrated that this preview is a usefuland desired element of the interface.Student name: Peter DrahošDegree program: Software EngineeringThesis title: A Photo-realistic Head Model for Real-time AnimationSupervisor: Martin Šperka, Assoc. ProfessorDefended on: September 30, 2011Annotation: In the recent years the average performance of computers increasedsignificantly partly due to the ubiquitous availability of graphicshardware. Photorealistic rendering of human faces is no longer restrictedto offline rendering and use in movies. Even portable machinesand to some degree high-end mobile devices offer enoughperformance to synthetize photorealistic facial animation in real time. However, the unavailability of flexible and reusable animation systemsfor use in third party applications still remains an issue. Ourwork presents a straightforward approach to photorealistic facial animationsynthesis based on dynamic manipulation of displacementmaps. We propose an integrated system that combines various animationsources such as blend-shapes, virtual muscles and point influencemaps with modern visualization and skin simulation techniques. Inspiredby systems that synthetize facial expression from images wedesigned and implemented an animation system that uses image basedcomposition of displacement maps without the need to process the facialgeometry. This improves overall performance and makes implementationof detail scalability trivial. For evaluation we haveimplemented a reusable animation library that was used in a simpleapplication that visualizes speech.7.4 IIT.SRC Students' PapersFull papers− Clementis, Ladislav: Solving Sudoku Puzzle Using Simulated Annealing.Supervisor: V.
