No person shall be compelled to pay any taxes, the proceeds <strong>of</strong>which are specifically appropriated in payment <strong>of</strong> expenses forthe promotion or maintenance <strong>of</strong> any particular religion orreligious denomination.Article 28 Freedom as to attendance at religious instruction orreligious worship in certain educational institutions(1) No religious instruction shall be provided in any educationalinstitution wholly maintained out <strong>of</strong> State funds.(2) Nothing in clause (1) shall apply to an educational institutionwhich is administered by the State but has been establishedunder any endowment or trust which requires that religiousinstruction shall be imparted in such institution.(3) No person attending any educational institution recognisedby the State or receiving aid out <strong>of</strong> State funds shall be requiredto take part in any religious instruction that may be imparted insuch institution or to attend any religious worship that may beconducted in such institution or in any premises attachedthereto unless such person or, if such person is minor, hisguardian has given his consent thereto.Article 29 Protection <strong>of</strong> interests <strong>of</strong> minorities(1) Any section <strong>of</strong> the citizens residing in the territory <strong>of</strong> <strong>India</strong> orany part there<strong>of</strong> having a distinct language, script or culture <strong>of</strong>its own shall have the right to conserve the same.(2) No citizen shall be denied admission into any educationalinstitution maintained by the State or receiving aid out <strong>of</strong> Statefunds on grounds only <strong>of</strong> religion, race, caste, language or any<strong>of</strong> them.Article 30 Right <strong>of</strong> minorities to establish and administereducational institutions(1) All minorities, whether based on religion or language, shallhave the right to establish and administer educationalinstitutions <strong>of</strong> their choice.(1A) In making any law providing for the compulsory acquisition<strong>of</strong> any property <strong>of</strong> an educational institution established andadministered by a minority, referred to in clause (1), the Stateshall ensure that the amount fixed by or determined under suchlaw for the acquisition <strong>of</strong> such property is such as would notrestrict or abrogate the right guaranteed under that clause.(2) The State shall not, in granting aid to educationalinstitutions, discriminate against any educational institution onthe ground that it is under the management <strong>of</strong> a minority,whether based on religion or language.Article 31 Compulsory acquisition <strong>of</strong> property{...}Article 31A Saving <strong>of</strong> laws providing for acquisition <strong>of</strong> estates,etc.(1) Notwithstanding anything contained in article 13, no lawproviding for -(a) the acquisition by the State <strong>of</strong> any estate or <strong>of</strong> any rightstherein or the extinguishment or modification <strong>of</strong> any such rights,or
