(2) The judges of a High Court in any Indian Statecorresponding to any State specified in Part B of the FirstSchedule holding office immediately before the commencementof this Constitution shall, unless they have elected otherwise,become on such commencement the Judges of the High Courtin the State so specified and shall, notwithstanding anything inclauses (1) and (2) of article 217 but subject to the proviso toclause (1) of that article, continue to hold office until theexpiration of such period as the President may by orderdetermine.(3) In this article, the expression "Judge" does not include anacting Judge or an additional Judge.Article 377 Provisions as to Comptroller and Auditor-General ofIndiaThe Auditor-General of India holding office immediately beforethe commencement of this Constitution shall, unless he haselected otherwise, become on such commencement theComptroller and Auditor-General of India and shall thereuponbe entitled to such salaries and to such rights in respect ofleave of absence and pension as are provided for underclause (3) of article 148 in respect of the Comptroller andAuditor-General of India and be entitled to continue to holdoffice until the expiration of his term of office as determinedunder the provisions which were applicable to him immediatelybefore such commencement.Article 378 Provisions as to Public Commissions(1) The members of the Public Service Commission for theDominion of India holding office immediately before thecommencement of this Constitution shall, unless they haveelected otherwise, become on such commencement themembers of the Public Service Commission for the Union andshall, notwithstanding anything in clause (1) and (2) of article316 but subject to the proviso to clause (2) of that article,continue to hold office until the expiration of their term of officeas determined under the rules which were applicableimmediately before such commencement to such members.(2) The members of a Public Service Commission of a Provinceor of a Public Service Commission serving the needs of a groupof Provinces holding office immediately before thecommencement of this Constitution shall, unless they haveelected otherwise, become on such commencement themembers of the Public Service Commission for thecorresponding State or the members of the Joint State PublicService Commission serving the needs of the correspondingStates, as the case may be, and shall, notwithstanding anythingin clauses (1) and (2) of article 316 but subject to the proviso ofclause (2) of that article, continue to hold office until theexpiration of their term of office as determined under the ruleswhich were applicable immediately before suchcommencement to such members.Article 378A Special provisions as to duration of AndhraPradesh Legislative AssemblyNotwithstanding anything contained in article 172, the
