(2) The judges <strong>of</strong> a High Court in any <strong>India</strong>n Statecorresponding to any State specified in Part B <strong>of</strong> the FirstSchedule holding <strong>of</strong>fice immediately before the commencement<strong>of</strong> this <strong>Constitution</strong> shall, unless they have elected otherwise,become on such commencement the Judges <strong>of</strong> the High Courtin the State so specified and shall, notwithstanding anything inclauses (1) and (2) <strong>of</strong> article 217 but subject to the proviso toclause (1) <strong>of</strong> that article, continue to hold <strong>of</strong>fice until theexpiration <strong>of</strong> such period as the President may by orderdetermine.(3) In this article, the expression "Judge" does not include anacting Judge or an additional Judge.Article 377 Provisions as to Comptroller and Auditor-<strong>General</strong> <strong>of</strong><strong>India</strong>The Auditor-<strong>General</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>India</strong> holding <strong>of</strong>fice immediately beforethe commencement <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Constitution</strong> shall, unless he haselected otherwise, become on such commencement theComptroller and Auditor-<strong>General</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>India</strong> and shall thereuponbe entitled to such salaries and to such rights in respect <strong>of</strong>leave <strong>of</strong> absence and pension as are provided for underclause (3) <strong>of</strong> article 148 in respect <strong>of</strong> the Comptroller andAuditor-<strong>General</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>India</strong> and be entitled to continue to hold<strong>of</strong>fice until the expiration <strong>of</strong> his term <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice as determinedunder the provisions which were applicable to him immediatelybefore such commencement.Article 378 Provisions as to Public Commissions(1) The members <strong>of</strong> the Public Service Commission for theDominion <strong>of</strong> <strong>India</strong> holding <strong>of</strong>fice immediately before thecommencement <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Constitution</strong> shall, unless they haveelected otherwise, become on such commencement themembers <strong>of</strong> the Public Service Commission for the Union andshall, notwithstanding anything in clause (1) and (2) <strong>of</strong> article316 but subject to the proviso to clause (2) <strong>of</strong> that article,continue to hold <strong>of</strong>fice until the expiration <strong>of</strong> their term <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>ficeas determined under the rules which were applicableimmediately before such commencement to such members.(2) The members <strong>of</strong> a Public Service Commission <strong>of</strong> a Provinceor <strong>of</strong> a Public Service Commission serving the needs <strong>of</strong> a group<strong>of</strong> Provinces holding <strong>of</strong>fice immediately before thecommencement <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Constitution</strong> shall, unless they haveelected otherwise, become on such commencement themembers <strong>of</strong> the Public Service Commission for thecorresponding State or the members <strong>of</strong> the Joint State PublicService Commission serving the needs <strong>of</strong> the correspondingStates, as the case may be, and shall, notwithstanding anythingin clauses (1) and (2) <strong>of</strong> article 316 but subject to the proviso <strong>of</strong>clause (2) <strong>of</strong> that article, continue to hold <strong>of</strong>fice until theexpiration <strong>of</strong> their term <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice as determined under the ruleswhich were applicable immediately before suchcommencement to such members.Article 378A Special provisions as to duration <strong>of</strong> AndhraPradesh Legislative AssemblyNotwithstanding anything contained in article 172, the
