Students Stars in backflip through timeSCREECH Theatre, fl ipped back and performed abackfl ip through time at <strong>the</strong>ir 2007 performance onThursday 20 September.‘Flipback: A Backfl ip Through Time’ follows a class <strong>of</strong>high school students on an excursion that takes anunexpected turn. They run into an alien whose favouritesong is so terrible it makes <strong>the</strong>ir friend forget who <strong>the</strong>yare. It also sends <strong>the</strong>m time traveling through <strong>the</strong>ir ownlives to work out how to restore <strong>the</strong>ir friend’s memory.“It’s a very <strong>fun</strong>ny, fast paced show because everythingabout <strong>the</strong> performance has been decided upon by<strong>the</strong> young people. It was all about what <strong>the</strong>y foundinteresting and exiting,” said director AlexandraMcCallum.The performance, which came out <strong>of</strong> a ten weekworkshoping process at Brisbane City Council youthspace Visible Ink, provides an important opportunityfor teenagers with and without disabilities to connectwith each o<strong>the</strong>r and have a good time.“It’s great to see new friendships created and oldfriendships streng<strong>the</strong>ned. It’s a chance for everyone toshowcase how capable and talented <strong>the</strong>y are.
