JUNE 11, 1957Pursuant to a recess order entered on June 4, 1957, the Mayor and Board of Aldermen met onJune 11, 1957 at 7:30 P. Fulmer, ClerkAfter the meeting had been called to order the following business was transacted:( ,It being called to the attention of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen that the OxfordMunicipal Separate School District had transferred to the City of Oxford, Mississippithe sum of $8,000.00 in payment of the Metts property, title to which is in the Cityof Oxford, Mississippi, and which sum should not have been paid to the City of Oxford,Mississippi until title to said property had been transferred from the City of Oxford,Mississippi to the Oxford Municipal Separate School District. <strong>No</strong>w therefore, uponmotion duly.made, seconded and passed unanimously, be and it hereby is resolved thatsaid $8,000.00 be transferred from the General Fund to the School Fund.Again came up for consideration the Oxford Asphalt Company bill,which was not allowedat the June 4th meeting, in the amount of $2,264.51 for Special Improvement on VivianStreet extended. Motion was made by Alderman Hickman and seconded by Alderman Loveladyand passed and it was ordered that a check for $1,964.51 be issued to Oxford AsphaltCompany and the balance be held until further orders from the Board."(I
