Title 9 Motor <strong>Vehicle</strong>sArticle 22 Ab<strong>an</strong>doned, Salvaged, <strong>an</strong>d Scrap <strong>Vehicle</strong>sChapter 3 Salvage Motor <strong>Vehicle</strong>sInd. Code § 9-22-3-17 (2010)9-22-3-17. Certificate <strong>of</strong> title <strong>for</strong> motor vehicle previously titled in <strong>an</strong>other state or jurisdiction.(a) Except as provided in subsection (b), whenever a certificate <strong>of</strong> title is issued <strong>for</strong> a motor vehicle thatwas previously titled in <strong>an</strong>other state or jurisdiction <strong>an</strong>d the certificate <strong>of</strong> title from the other state orjurisdiction contains a "REBUILT", "RECONSTRUCTED", "RECONDITIONED", "DISTRESSED VEHICLE", orsimilar designation, a new <strong>an</strong>d subsequent certificate <strong>of</strong> title must conspicuously bear the designation"REBUILT VEHICLE".(b) Whenever a certificate <strong>of</strong> title is issued <strong>for</strong> a motor vehicle described in subsection (a) that waspreviously titled in <strong>an</strong>other state or jurisdiction <strong>an</strong>d the certificate <strong>of</strong> title from the other state orjurisdiction contains a designation that indicates that the motor vehicle is a flood damaged vehicle, a new<strong>an</strong>d subsequent certificate <strong>of</strong> title must conspicuously bear the designation "REBUILT FLOODDAMAGED VEHICLE".
