The National Landslides Working Group was established in 2004 to collate information andexamine the causes <strong>of</strong> landslides throughout the island <strong>of</strong> <strong>Ireland</strong>. GSI published an initial study <strong>of</strong>landslides in <strong>Ireland</strong> and Northern <strong>Ireland</strong> in 2006 on behalf <strong>of</strong> the Committee. The group iscurrently inactive until aspects <strong>of</strong> the published report are implemented and a new project initiatedunder the National Development Plan.
