Schools event booking information and deadlinesplease read carefullyPlease note: all information on this page pertains to schools event booking only.For information on how to book for teacher’s events please see page 4.To make a booking1234Choose the event you would like to attend.Also choose two alternative options incase your choice is unavailable. If you haveany questions about the programmeor suitability, contact Sara Grady atsara@edbookfest.co.uk.Fill in the form on page 33 for eachvisit (photocopy as necessary).NB. The Booking Contact is the personresponsible for booking, the Trip SupervisorContact is the person bringing the classwho we may need to contact regardingthe visit.If applicable, fill in the Transport FundApplication on the Schools Event BookingForm on page 33 (see top right for furtherdetails).Post your form to Schools, EdinburghInternational Book Festival, PO Box 23835EH2 4WS or fax it to 0131 226 5335.You’ll hear from us within 14 days.Our booking policy & procedureTickets are sold on a first come, first servedbasis. You will be notified if your booking hasbeen successful within 14 days. If yourrequested events are full, we will contactyou to discuss alternative options and ourwaiting list procedure.If your requested event is available, we willsend you a Booking Confirmation along withsome information to help you begin preparingfor your visit.If you need to amend or cancel your reservation, youmust do so by Friday 30 May. After that we willinvoice the school for the total value of ticketsbooked. Additional tickets may be ordered, andinvoiced separately, subject to availability. However,where numbers are reduced the total amount of theoriginal invoice will remain due.Transport FundIf you need financial support to transport yourclass to the Book Festival please apply for ourTransport Fund, supported by the City ofEdinburgh Council and RBS. First get anestimate of the cost of bringing your pupils toCharlotte Square for each visit. Then fill in theestimated cost and relevant details on yourbooking form.Transport Fund reimbursement is allocatedon a first come, first served, needs basis whenyou submit your booking. The closing date forthe Transport Fund application is Friday 16May. You will be notified by Friday 30 May ifyour application has been successful and if itwill be totally or partially subsidised.
