2004 MARINE CORPS UNIFORM REGULATIONS<br />

occasions, and may be worn on leave or liberty. Female officers and SNCOs<br />

will wear the following according to whether white slacks or white trousers<br />

are worn:<br />

a. With White Slacks.<br />

(1) Black, pumps, black oxfords or black dress flats per guidance at<br />

paragraph 3010.4.<br />

(2) Either dark hose or black socks.<br />

(3) Gold or pearl earrings (optional).<br />

(4) White shirt with black necktab.<br />

b. With White Skirt.<br />

(1) Black, pumps, black oxfords or black dress flats per guidance at<br />

paragraph 3010.4.<br />

SNCOs.<br />

(2) Skin-tone nylon hose.<br />

(3) Gold or pearl earrings (optional).<br />

(4) White shirt with red necktab for officers or black necktab for<br />

c. Only those female officers in assignments requiring the wear of blue<br />

slacks will be required to possess white slacks. Trousers, skirts, and<br />

slacks for enlisted Marines or white slacks for female officers and SNCOs<br />

will be procured from commercial sources utilizing specifications, patterns,<br />

and materials obtained from CG, MARCORSYSCOM (PM,ICE), per paragraph 1007.<br />

3. The blue-white dress "B" <strong>uniform</strong> consists of the same items as the bluewhite<br />

dress "A" <strong>uniform</strong>, except that ribbons are worn in lieu of medals<br />

(shooting badges may be prescribed). This <strong>uniform</strong> will be worn by officers<br />

and SNCOs for the occasions as the blue dress "B" <strong>uniform</strong>. This <strong>uniform</strong> can<br />

be worn on leave and liberty.<br />

2004. SERVICE UNIFORMS (See figs. 2-19 through 2-28.)<br />

1. The service "A" <strong>uniform</strong> may be prescribed for parades, ceremonies, social<br />

events, and as the <strong>uniform</strong> of the day. It will normally be worn when<br />

reporting for duty, unless otherwise prescribed by the commander. The<br />

service "A" <strong>uniform</strong> will be prescribed for the following official military<br />

occasions:<br />

a. When assigned as a member of courts-martial or courts of inquiry.<br />

b. Official visits and calls of, or to, United States civil officials,<br />

officers of the United States Armed Forces, and officials/officers of foreign<br />

governments per chapter 12, U.S. Navy Regulations.
