2. The above items, unless otherwise noted with an asterisk (*), must bear<br />
the <strong>US</strong>MC approval identification. Items purchased outside the Marine Corps<br />
Supply System that do not bear the <strong>US</strong>MC approved identification are<br />
prohibited, unless otherwise specified herein.<br />
9203. OPTIONAL UNIFORM ARTICLES. The following <strong>uniform</strong> items are optional<br />
for enlisted Marines as indicated, and may be purchased from sources other<br />
than the Marine Corps Supply System, provided these items bear the <strong>US</strong>MC<br />
approval identification, unless noted otherwise with an asterisk (*):<br />

2. Boots, combat, non-system (see paragraph 3010.2)<br />

4. Cape, dress (SSgt and above, women only)<br />
