Explanatory Notes:<br />

(a) Mandatory possession date is 1 October 2004.<br />

(b) Service <strong>uniform</strong> items may be of either summer weight polyester/wool or<br />

all-season fabric; however, the coat and at least one pair of trousers must<br />

be of the same fabric. All-season <strong>uniform</strong> items will be required when the<br />

summer weight polyester/wool items become unserviceable.<br />

(c) Will maintain one khaki web belt (with buckle) for wear with the service<br />

<strong>uniform</strong> trousers and either one khaki web belt (with buckle) or 1 martial<br />

arts utility belt for wear with the utility <strong>uniform</strong>.<br />

(d) The minimum requirement of utility <strong>uniform</strong>s is 4 sets of either<br />

camouflage utility or combat utility <strong>uniform</strong>s, per the deadlines established<br />

in ALMAR 28/02. The minimum requirement for camouflage utility <strong>uniform</strong>s will<br />

decrease annually by one set beginning 1 October 2003, while the minimum<br />

requirement for combat utilities will increase by one set beginning 1 October<br />

2003. As of 1 October 2006, the camouflage utility <strong>uniform</strong> will be obsolete<br />
