(5) Company grade bars will be worn with the long axis of the bars at<br />

right angles to the center of the shoulder strap.<br />

c. Collar grade insignia will be worn on both sides of the collar of<br />

khaki shirts, and the utility and camouflage maternity coats. When the<br />

service "A" <strong>uniform</strong> is worn by officers, the wear of the collar insignia is<br />

required at all times. Collar insignia is worn on women's white shirts only<br />

when it is anticipated that the blue dress coat may be removed in office<br />

spaces. The insignia will be centered between the top and bottom edge of the<br />

collar, with the outer edge of the insignia one inch from the front edge of<br />

the collar.<br />

(1) General officers' stars will be worn with one ray of each star<br />

pointing toward the top edge of the collar.<br />

>Ch 3 (2) Colonels' eagles will be worn with the head toward the top of the<br />

collar facing to the front, with the wings perpendicular to the front edge of<br />

the collar. On the combat utility coat, the eagle will be worn with the<br />

wings perpendicular to the deck.<br />

>Ch 3 (3) Field grade oak leaves will be worn with the stem toward the<br />

bottom of the collar and the line from the tip to the stem parallel to the<br />

deck.<br />

>Ch 3 (4) Company grade insignia will be worn with the long axis of the<br />

bars parallel to the deck.<br />

d. Collar grade insignia will be worn on the right side of the garrison<br />

cap opposite to the branch of service collar insignia, with the insignia<br />

placed at a point midway on the arc of the flap and the flap generally<br />

bisecting the insignia (see Fig. 4-11)<br />

(1) Generals' stars will be worn with one ray of each star pointing<br />

toward the top of the cap, with the long axis horizontal.<br />

(2) Colonels' eagles will be worn with the head toward the top of the<br />

cap. The right insignia for the garrison cap will have the head facing<br />

forward.<br />
