WILA has started 2012 CO 2 neutral - Sustainable BusinessManagementAt the end of 2011, Carbon Footprint Ltd confirmed that WILALichttechnik GmbH in Iserlohn was CO 2 neutral in accordance withthe international standard PAS 2060. Our 2011 CO 2 emissions willbe compensated for by VCS certificates at a hydroelectric powerstation project in Anatolia and through the planting of 2000 trees.Together with WILA Lighting Ltd in England, which was certified in2006, the entire WILA group is now CO 2 neutral.- WILA is certified according to the quality management systemEN ISO 9001 and the environmental management systemEN ISO 14001.- Product development taking into account European standardssuch as the EU Directive EuP (Energy-using Products) and theEnergy Saving Regulation (EnEV).- WILA products correspond to the RoHS guideline for the restrictionof the use of certain hazardous substances in electronic devices,registration no. DE93632433.- WILA products satisfy the WEEE guideline (Waste Electrical andElectronic Equipment) for the Electronic Waste Law.- The return, utilisation and disposal of electrical and electronicdevices, as well as of their packaging, are carried out throughvarious national organisations such as Interseroh (D) andLumicon (UK).- Since 2009, WILA has been a member of the DGNB(German Sustainable Building Council).- Selection of suppliers and partners according to principles ofsustainability and the involvement of employees.Climate protection projectWe have committed to printing this brochure on climate-neutralPEFC paper from local, sustainable forests, and to use mineral-oilfreeinks. Based on the paper consumption, the use of printingmaterial and the transport, a total of 7.1 t CO 2 results for the totalcirculation. To this end, we invest in an international reforestationproject.
