According topolice reports, they went to check on the couple when concerned family members calledto say they were not able to contact them. When police arrived at the house, theyfound the couple dead of apparent gunshot wounds. The couple had recently moved back to Texarkanafrom Dallas.Melissa Cain, 29Nash3/15/2006Melissa was shot to death by her estranged husband, Jeff Cain, 34. According to newsreports, the couple had separated recently. Cain forced his way into Melissa's houseand shot her and her sister, Amanda. Amanda survived and was able to save Melissa’s childrenby locking them in a bathroom. Cain then shot himself. According to friends, the couplewas having problems.
