Belief in dogmas is for those who prostrate themselvesbefore their so-called gods, fashioned from their own minds or, betteryet, bequeathed to them by false prophets and books filled withfeces.Comment: There are no specific metaphysical or ethical beliefsrequired to follow Satan. It is one thing to have personal opinions onthese matters, but quite another to claim some kind of authoritativesanction for them. What the followers of dogmatic religion choose toignore is the fact that these dogmas are always the opinions of othermen - whether based on a personal intuition or a so-called inspiredbook. In matters of faith, no man has authority over another - aSatanist must recognize this fact, or they will fare no better than thesheep of dogmatic religion.6. I trample on these powerless and false gods. I laugh at their pettydisputes over the unreal world inside the minds of their followers. Iblaspheme against all their articles of faith, the toys of children andthose who would inflate their own stature by claiming a mandatefrom heaven.Comment: Once freed from the grip of dogmatic faith in the opinionsof others, the Satanist can stand back and see what a silly mess thesereligions are mired in. They all contradict one another. They all damnone another to eternal suffering. This stands in firm opposition to thefreedom offered by Satan, and with this freedom comesunderstanding of just how pointless and childish such disputes reallyare.7. God is dead because I killed him. I rent his spirit into billions ofpieces and gave each man his own share. I curse all these gods withan unconquerable laughter, they are divided against themselves andso must fall.Comment: The individuality of consciousness has ensured theproliferation of a multitude of metaphysical opinions. There is no“one God” - there are as many versions as there are individuals.Each of these interpretations is somehow different than the others,and unity is impossible as long as individuality remains. When anyopinion claims absolute truth for itself, it renders all other opinionsfalse, and so the gods of dogmatic faith are truly divided against eachother in a hopeless struggle. As long as there is such widespreaddisagreement concerning the divine, all claims of absolute truth andunity will continue to ring hollow.
