It is for thisconjunctive reason that the magus needs a Totem - a connection tothe world which is basal and empowering. You will intuit your Toteminstinctively. There is no Quest, no bestiality to be paroused, noreflection, no rationalization. When your Totem confronts you, youwill know you have been touched by the Divine.There is no ritual so highly prizedamong neophytes as the destructionritual. The power to destroy is trulyintoxicating, but if done without realgnosis, it will result only in thedestruction of self.
