Profactor was founded in 1995 as a 100-percent subsidiary of the Vereinigung zur Förderung der Modernisierung<br />
der Produktionstechnologie in Österreich (Society for the Promotion of Modernisation of Manufacturing<br />
Technologies in Austria) (VPTÖ). The staff of seven scientists has since grown to over 80 (in 2006).<br />
We are the leading interdisciplinary economic research institute. As a trusted partner of the scientific community,<br />
we help to define state of the art technology and research. The focus of our research is geared to improve the<br />
competitiveness of our partners and strengthen the Austrian economy. This is our vision, and we make it come<br />
true.<br />
