Although your clubcannot prevent an accident from happening, it canprovide reimbursement of up to $100.00 for alternatetransportation or meals and lodging while you arewaiting for your vehicle to be repaired. This benefitapplies to a maximum of 72 hours from the time ofthe accident when your trip has been delayed morethan 24 hours. Please contact the club for full details.AAA Plus extends this benefit up to $700.Guaranteed Arrest Bond & $5,000 Bail BondAAA membership includes bail bond protection for upto $5,000.00 for most violations or offenses relatedto a motor vehicle law or ordinance. (Please note:Certain charges such as driving under the influenceof alcohol, drugs or narcotics are not covered underthis benefit. Specific details of the bail bond coverageare outlined on the reverse side of your membershipcard.) Auto Theft ProtectionAs a part of your membership you receive protectionfor your automobile in the form of a $500 rewardsticker. This sticker, when placed in a conspicuouslocation on your automobile, informs would-bethieves that the world’s largest motoring organizationwill pay for information leading to the arrestand conviction of anyone stealing your vehicle andacts as a deterrent to such theft. (Claims must besubmitted within 60 days of conviction. Law enforcementofficers, the member, and the member’sfamily are ineligible to receive the reward.) Battery BoostA battery boost will be provided in an attempt tostart your vehicle.Flat TireIf your vehicle’s spare is inflated and serviceable,it will be installed to replace a flat tire.Fuel DeliveryA limited supply of fuel will be delivered toyour disabled vehicle to enable you to reach thenearest open service station. Specific brands oroctane ratings cannot be promised. You will becharged the current pump price for the fuel. AAAPlus covers the cost of a limited supply of fuel.Lockout ServiceIf your keys are locked inside the vehicle, servicewill be sent to gain entrance. If your keysare lost, broken or the service provider cannotgain entrance to your vehicle, locksmith serviceor reimbursement for locksmith service up to$50.00 will be provided. AAA Plus extends up to$100.Extricating/WinchingYour vehicle will be extricated/winched when itcan be safely reached from a normally traveledor established thoroughfare. If special equipment,additional manpower or vehicles arerequired, the associated costs may be at yourexpense.Towing ServicesWhen your vehicle cannot be safely driven afterattempting any of the listed emergency services,your vehicle will be towed to the ERS facilityrendering the service, or up to three miles inany direction from the point of disablement atno charge. In instances when your vehicle becomesdisabled while towing a light duty trailer,service will be provided for the trailer (excludesfifth wheel trailers). You may be required to payfor trailer towing. AAA Plus provides up to 100miles of towing.Scope of ServiceUnder your membership, emergency road servicewill be provided without charge from the nearestavailable AAA contract facility. AAA covers YOU, notthe car. You’re protected in any car you happen tobe traveling in, whether it’s yours, your spouse’s, afriend’s or even a rental car. Your service call will includea trip to the disabled vehicle and a reasonableamount of time at the scene to make your vehicleoperable. We select ERS facilities for their ability tohandle service calls, but we cannot guarantee thatthese facilities will always have the parts and equipmentto make repairs.What is Not Covered■ Service on a vehicle that’s in a safe condition tobe driven.■ A second tow for the same disablement.■ Tire or mechanical repairs.■ Service when vehicle has been driven into anarea not regularly traveled or hazardous for aservice vehicle to reach.■ Service when the vehicle is snowbound. We donot hoist, winch, or shovel out of snow. Serviceis rendered only after the way is cleared.Weather EmergenciesDuring severe and extended storm periods whenall available garages and manpower are required toaid members whose cars are disabled on streets andhighways, the Club reserves the right to suspendor defer service to members whose cars are in aplace of safety, such as storage, parking lots, or in amember’s own driveway or garage.17 18

IN MOST AREAS, ERS FACILITIES ARE INDEPEN-DENT BUSINESSES AND ARE NOT EMPLOYEESOR AGENTS OF AAA OR ITS AFFILIATES. RE-SPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS, DAMAGE OR UNSATIS-FACTORY WORKMANSHIP REMAINS WITH THEERS FACILITY PROVIDING THE SERVICE. THECLUB WILL ASSIST BY MEDIATING UNRESOLVEDISSUES.Excessive UseWhen individual members use Emergency RoadService excessively it is costly to all members. Thefollowing restrictions apply:How to Obtain Emergency Road ServiceLOCALLYPlease refer to the information printed on yourmembership card, consult your emergency roadservice listing, or check the white pages of the telephonebook under “AAA.”Wait with your vehicle, after placing the call, or ata place where you can see it. For your protection,AAA service is not provided unless you are with yourvehicle.
