On the first day, we welcome Dr. Richard Deming, a dynamic, motivational speaker who willshare his enlightening experiences working with cancer survivors through the Above+Beyond Cancer organization. Tuesdaywill also include presentations on intra‐operative radiation for breast cancer, pharmacy updates, and a very pertinentdiscussion on compassion fatigue. Clinical Nurse Specialist Ann Collins‐Hattery will share her expertise in the management ofoncologic emergencies and provide an update on non‐small cell lung cancer.Wednesday offers an insightful presentation by Dr. Sid Ganguly, University of Kansas Medical College, on the role ofcytogenetics in hematologic malignancies. Day 2 will also include discussions on healthcare policy/advocating for Iowa,advances in ascorbic acid research in cancer therapy, and pediatric cancers and survivor issues.
