There was no voiced or written opposition to the Mid-BasinProject but the owners of the HCPUA project have expressed that they willcontinue to move the HCPUA project forward.16.3 Recommended Regional Waste<strong>water</strong> Treatment FacilitiesThe recommended <strong>regional</strong> waste<strong>water</strong> treatment facilities are based on a<strong>regional</strong>ization concept that will ultimately provide four <strong>regional</strong> waste<strong>water</strong>facilities in the <strong>county</strong>. These facilities will be sized <strong>and</strong> phased to accommodategrowth <strong>and</strong> enable reuse of reclaimed <strong>water</strong>.Exhibit 16-2 presents the features of the recommended <strong>regional</strong> waste<strong>water</strong>treatment plan. The primary features include:• Waste<strong>water</strong> treatment plant at Lockhart• Waste<strong>water</strong> treatment plant at Martindale• Waste<strong>water</strong> treatment plant at Luling• Waste<strong>water</strong> treatment plant in Peach Creek Basin• Regional waste<strong>water</strong> collection pipelines with downstream connectivityThe majority of the stakeholders attending the <strong>regional</strong> <strong>planning</strong> meetingssupported either the proposed <strong>regional</strong> plan or a decentralized plan of multiplesmaller treatment plants throughout the County. The large plant <strong>regional</strong>izationplan was recommended for implementation.
