You cannot delete the active configuration northe default configuration (Default Config).QLogic8GbT (admin) config delete config_2Modify an I/O Module ConfigurationTo modify an I/O module configuration, you must open an Admin session with theAdmin Start command. An Admin session prevents other accounts from makingchanges at the same time through Telnet, Enterprise Fabric Suite 2007,QuickTools, or another management application. You must also open a ConfigEdit session with the Config Edit command and indicate which configuration youwant to modify. If you do not specify a configuration name the active configurationis assumed. The Config Edit session provides access to the Set Config commands with whichyou make modifications to the port, I/O module, port threshold alarm, or zoningconfiguration components as shown:QLogic8GbT #> admin startQLogic8GbT (admin) #> config editThe config named default is being edited.QLogic8GbT (admin-config)#> set config port . . .QLogic8GbT (admin-config)#> set config switch . . .QLogic8GbT (admin-config)#> set config threshold . . .The Config Save command saves the changes you made during the Config Editsession. In this case, changes to the configuration named Default are being savedto a new configuration named config_10132003. However, the new configurationdoes not take effect until you activate it with the Config Activate command:QLogic8GbT (admin-config)#> config save config_10132003QLogic8GbT (admin)#> config activate config_10132003QLogic8GbT (admin)#> admin endThe Admin End command releases the Admin session for other administratorswhen you are done making changes to the I/O module.5-10 59245-01 A
