2 – Command Line Interface UsageDownloading and Uploading FilesSDownloading and Uploading FilesThere are several files that reside on the I/O module that you can download to theworkstation <strong>for</strong> examination or <strong>for</strong> safekeeping. These files include the following:• Backup configuration file (configdata)• Log files (logfile)• Support files (dump_support.tgz)You can upload firmware image files or backup configuration files to the I/Omodule to reinstall firmware or restore a corrupted configuration. The I/O moduleuses FTP to exchange files between the I/O module and the workstation.• Refer to “Installing Firmware” on page 5-16 <strong>for</strong> in<strong>for</strong>mation about installingfirmware.• Refer to “Back Up and Restore an I/O <strong>Module</strong> Configuration” on page 5-12<strong>for</strong> in<strong>for</strong>mation about backing up and restoring an I/O module configuration.• Refer to “Creating and Downloading a Log File” on page 9-8 <strong>for</strong> in<strong>for</strong>mationabout creating a log file.• Refer to “Creating a Support File” on page 2-6 <strong>for</strong> in<strong>for</strong>mation about creatinga support file.To download a file from the I/O module to the workstation, do the following:1.
