Hyphae straight to crooked, branchingmostly opposite at acute angles, loosely reticulate, cells27–31x6–9.5 µm. Appressoria unilateral, alternate andabout 10% opposite, antrorse to subantrorse, 12–18.5µm long; stalk cells cylindrical, 3–6.5 µm long; headcells globose, rounded to truncate at the apex, entire,9–15.5x12–14 µm. Phialides mixed with appressoria,alternate to opposite, conoid, elongate, 15–18.5x9–12.5µm. Mycelial setae not many, scattered to groupedaround perithecia, simple, straight, acute to furcatedat the tip, up to 572µm long. Perithecia scattered,verrucose, up to 155µm in diam.; ascospores oblong,cylindrical, 4-septate, slightly constricted at the septa,46–50x21–25 µm.Material examined: 2.viii.2008 on leaves of Litseasp. Hyphae straight to substraight,branching opposite to unilateral at acute to wideangles, loosely to closely reticulate, cells 17–35x5–7 μm.Appressoria alternate, about 40% opposite, antrorseto subantrorse, 12–17 μm long; stalk cells cylindricalto cuneate, 2–5 μm long; head cells globose, entire,10–12x12–15μm. Phialides mixed with appressoria,opposite, ampulliform, 12–20x5–10 μm. Mycelial setaenumerous, scattered, simple, straight, up to 950μm long,acute, obtuse to dentate at the tip. Perithecia scattered,orbicular, up to 190μm in diam.; ascospores cylindricalto oblong, 4-septate, constricted at the septa, 40–45x17–22 μm.Material examined: 8.iii.2010 on leaves of Litsea sp.(Lauraceae), Poochippara, P.J. Appressoria alternate, antrorse to subantrorse,16–23 μm long; stalk cells cylindrical to cuneate, 4–8μm long; head cells globose, minutely and irregularlylobate, 11–16x12–18 μm. Phialides borne on a separatemycelial branch, alternate to opposite, ampulliform,14–21x8–10 μm. Mycelial setae scattered to groupedaround perithecia, simple, straight to uncinate,acute to broadly rounded at the apex, up to 300μmlong.
