FettermanTraining CenterA new era for University of Toledo Athletics beganwhen the Fetterman Training Center officially openedits doors on Feb. 6, 2010. The Fetterman Training Centeris a multi-purpose indoor facility that meets the practiceand training needs for football and all 16 Rocketvarsity sports. It is also used by UT intramural and clubsports.Construction of the facility took nine months. The90,400 square-foot facility is actually two buildingsin one: a multi-purpose field house with a 100-yardfootball field and a smaller building with a basketballcourt and golf training facility that connects the indoorfacility to Savage Arena.Special features for football include fixed goal posts,a game scoreboard, and elevated viewing areas for filming.Other features include sprinting lanes, long jumppit and sand training area for track; improvements tothe outdoor track, including permanent bleacher seatingfor 500 spectators and a press box.
